Oregon Department of Forestry

To serve the people of Oregon by protecting, managing, and promoting stewardship of Oregon’s forests to enhance environmental, economic, and community sustainability.”

Oregon Small Woodlands Association (OSWA) works alongside the Department of Forestry (ODF), implementing required state forestry practices and helping woodland owners meet and exceed their property goals.

ODF invites OSWA’s Executive Director and OSWA members to participate on committees that advise ODF on family forest issues and issues important to ODF. OSWA Executive Director has an ex-officio seat on the Committee for Family Forests (CFF). CFF is a committee appointed by the Board of Forestry and coordinated by ODF to advise the board on family forest issues. The Director of Private Forests at ODF sets as an ex-officio member of OSWA’s board.

Oregon Small Woodlands Association and the Oregon Department of Forestry collaborate to promote the best interests of Oregon’s forests and their owners.
