Join this overview of deer and elk populations in the Rogue Valley and learn why habitat is a key factor to their survival. We will take a look into the historical habitat types and abundances in the area, and how they have changed to where we are today. We will also explore how landowners can provide essential habitat to deer and elk, while meeting multiple goals for their property.
Presented by Dylan Edwards, Wildlife Habitat Biologist in the Rogue Watershed for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. He is an Oregon native, who has held a variety of positions throughout the State for ODFW. Most recently, he worked in the Willamette Valley as a habitat technician doing on-the-ground restoration on public and private lands.
