OSWA's State Activities

OSWA Represents ALL Oregon Small Woodland Owners

OSWA legislative update

Did you know that OSWA has a full-time State Affairs Coordinator who effectively lobbies on issues of importance at the state level; speaking up for your rights as an Oregon Small Woodland owner?

OSWA also maintains a professionally staffed office suite in Salem with an Executive Officer on call and accessible to members throughout the week. Staff and volunteers work closely and actively with local and state agencies, legislators and Oregon's political process to ensure that family owned forests continue to thrive and prosper.

OSWA staff and members have a proud tradition of working together to find practical solutions to the divisive issues of the day. By engaging with other groups in a constructive manner, we strive to promote the important and essential roles that family owned woodlands play in society.

By becoming a member of OSWA, you are giving your voice a megaphone and are becoming part of the association designed to represent, protect, and act upon the benefit of all of Oregon's small woodlands and their owners.

We encourage you to read OSWA's positions on current legislative issues, as well as OSWA Policies, to better understand what it is the Oregon Small Woodlands Association represents and how we accomplish our goals.
